The Queensland Department of Main Roads is undertaking a planning study to identify land for a future road connection to link the Warrego and Cunningham Highways at Dinmore in Ipswich.
Three potential corridor options have been identified. VRSpace was commissioned to develop a virtual reality (VR) model that could be used as a consultation tool with the local community.
The model developed allowed for free navigation to any position within the modelled environment. Additionally, the one model was used to interactively switch between the three options.
During consultation, residents were able to locate their homes within the model and then view each proposed corridor option from their front door.
